Lychee stands out for its red skin, juicy pulp and sweet flavor. Its commercial value, however, depends on a chain that moves quickly: harvesting, sorting, packing and delivery must protect freshness.
Veracruz leads Mexican production
Mexico's Ministry of Agriculture notes that commercial lychee production expanded during the 1970s and 1980s and that harvest is concentrated around May, June and July. SIAP open data for crop year 2023 placed Veracruz first nationally with 11,789 tonnes, about 45% of reported Mexican output.

From orchard to buyer
Commercial planning begins before harvest. Growers need to estimate volume, agree on presentation and destination, and coordinate delivery. After cutting, fruit should be protected from heat and unnecessary handling.
Salazares uses its field record to show origin and real production work. Buyers can contact the family directly to confirm seasonal availability, presentation and delivery options.
